STEP-SAFE® is a precast polymer concrete tile designed to alert visually impaired pedestrians of impending hazards along travel routes, public buildings and other rights-of-way. STEP-SAFE® complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines for detectable warning surfaces. STEP-SAFE® has a proven history of resistance to the effects of abrasion, weather and other environmental conditions.

 

Features

STEP-SAFE® is made of polymer concrete which is three times stronger than regular concrete. The skid-resistance is a result of the specially engineered dome textured surface. STEP-SAFE® is easy to install, with no bolts required, as the coarse aggregate tile back enhances adhesion. STEP-SAFE® does not fade, is maintenance free and comes with a five year warranty. It won't buckle or curl which might cause a tripping hazard. It does not get hot underfoot, like metal, a concern for professionally trained guide dogs.
